The site was first titled Ms. Powell's Management Ideas for Teachers. In 2008, it changed the designation in to The Cornerstone for Teachers in the honor of her book. Angela Powell's work on productivity and professional development can be found in more than 45,000 schools across the United States via her 40-Hour Workweek initiative. This helps teachers become more focused on their contracts for time and instruction so that they can focus on what is important.
